The Guest Aboard flag became widely used throughout the last century by members of America’s most respected yacht clubs, and its popularity continues today. The easily recognizable blue flag with a diagonal white stripe is flown from the starboard spreader while at anchor only when the owner is absent and a guest is occupying the vessel. If the owner is aboard along with a guest, the Guest Aboard flag is not used
